KPITB Full Stack Developer (Laravel) Jobs 2026 — Individual Consultant, Peshawar

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) is hiring an Individual Consultant to serve as Full Stack Developer (Laravel) under its ICT Project. This is a 6-month consultancy engagement, extendable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds, based in Peshawar. Applications close 27 September 2026, 23:59.

This is the third KPITB ICT Project consultancy post in this batch — alongside the Mobile Application Developer (React Native) and Technical Team Lead roles — all project-based individual engagements rather than permanent posts. Role Overview

The Consultant will design, develop, deploy, secure, and maintain high-transaction web applications and APIs on the Laravel framework, along with supporting the database, server, and DevOps functions needed to keep those applications performant, secure, and available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain Laravel applications capable of processing millions of transactions/jobs daily, using event listeners, queues (Redis/Horizon), and task scheduling
  • Develop responsive front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (Vue.js/React/Livewire) or Blade templating
  • Build scalable RESTful APIs for internal and external stakeholders, integrating with third-party services including payment gateways and SaaS platforms
  • Implement API security best practices — OAuth2, JWT, rate limiting, encryption — and ensure compliance with data protection standards
  • Optimize application performance through code refactoring, caching strategies (Redis/Memcached), and load balancing
  • Architect and optimize high-traffic relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions (MongoDB), including indexing, query optimization, replication, and sharding
  • Ensure data integrity with backup and disaster recovery procedures
  • Manage Linux-based server environments (Ubuntu/CentOS), configure and secure web servers (Nginx/Apache), firewalls, and SSL/TLS certificates
  • Automate deployments through CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions) and containerization (Docker)
  • Harden configurations against recognized security baselines (OWASP Top 10, CIS benchmarks) and support periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Coordinate with security teams or third-party auditors for penetration testing where applicable
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI, architecture, deployment procedures) and provide knowledge transfer at assignment close

Eligibility

  • Education: 16 years of education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience as a Web Developer, Full Stack Developer, or similar role
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in PHP and Laravel, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; RESTful API design; MySQL/PostgreSQL database design and query optimization; Linux server administration; Nginx/Apache configuration; and Git
