PITB Programme & Project Management Jobs 2026: 12 Contract Roles, Apply by 4 November
If your career is built on running programmes, coordinating teams, or growing something from a plan to a result, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has twelve contract openings for you. Despite the word "regional" in the title, the advertisement lists the location as Lahore. If the portal description mentions field coordination across regions, make sure you are comfortable with travel before applying.

A hybrid role that sits between communications and planning. Proof of campaigns you have run, with real numbers (audience reached, applications generated, events delivered), will carry more weight than a list of tools.

The title points to work with early-stage ventures: onboarding them, tracking their progress and connecting them to opportunities. Experience with incubators, accelerators, entrepreneurship programmes or business development fits best. The advertisement itself gives no further detail, so read the portal description closely.

The natural next step above Programme Officer. With three years required, expect more responsibility for planning and reporting, and a role that mentors the officers below it.

The bridge between officer-level and manager-level work. It has a range of three to four years, so a candidate at the lower end should show clear evidence of supervising people or budgets.

Manager (Multiple Posts)
Location: Lahore | Age: 45 | Experience: 5 years
Five years of experience points to someone who already owns outcomes, budgets or a team. Your CV should read as results delivered, not duties assigned.
Programme Manager (Multiple Posts)
Location: Lahore | Age: 45 | Experience: 5 years
Same five-year requirement as Manager, but the title points specifically to running a programme: a set of related projects with a shared goal. If your background is programme delivery, apply here rather than to the general Manager post.
Senior Programme Manager (Multiple Posts)
Location: Lahore | Age: 45 | Experience: 7 years
At the top of the programme ladder with seven years required. It is a leadership position for someone who has managed larger programmes or other managers.

Also seven years, and the only senior role in this post that is not marked "Multiple Post(s)". A project manager is generally accountable for a single project's scope, schedule and budget; if your seven years are in delivery of IT or government projects, this is your closest match.

Programme manager or project manager?
Programme and project are not the same word, and the advertisement uses both. A project has one defined output and a deadline. A programme bundles several projects towards a bigger goal. If your CV talks about delivering a single system, event or rollout, lean toward the project and officer titles; if it talks about coordinating many workstreams, lean toward the programme titles. The portal's job description is the final word.
