SPSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2026 — Apply Before 23 September
The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has announced the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE-2026) through Advertisement No. 04/2026, dated 19 August 2026. The CCE is Sindh's flagship competitive examination for recruiting officers to various BS-17 posts across the Sindh Secretariat and attached departments — a major opportunity for Bachelor's degree holders across the province.
Examination Overview
Unlike a typical job advertisement listing specific named posts, the CCE is a general competitive examination. Successful candidates are allocated to available posts across different departments based on their merit position and the order of options they exercise during the application process.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality/Domicile: Both male and female candidates, including minorities and differently-abled persons, who are citizens of Pakistan and domiciled/permanent residents of Sindh Province as on 23 September 2026
- Education: At least a 2nd Division Bachelor's degree. Candidates with foreign degrees must obtain an HEC Equivalence Certificate before the closing date and upload it on the online portal
- Age Limit: 21–30 years as on 1 September 2026
- Age Relaxation: Candidates domiciled in Sindh who are serving in the Federal Government or Sindh Government, with at least 4 years of continuous regular service as on 1 September 2026, are eligible for an upper age limit of 35 years. Note: Employees of Autonomous, Semi-Autonomous, Local Bodies, Adhoc, or Contract positions are not eligible for this age concession.
Examination Structure
- Compulsory subjects: All candidates must attempt compulsory papers covering Essay, Precis and Composition, Current Affairs & Pakistan Affairs, General Science and Ability, and Urdu or Sindhi
- Optional subjects: Candidates select optional subjects from prescribed groups, choosing one subject per group
- For the current, official list of optional subject groups and detailed syllabus, candidates should check the Scope & Syllabus section on the official SPSC website (www.spsc.gov.pk), since subject groupings can be revised between examination cycles
Examination Centres
The examination will be held at four centres: Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkano. SPSC reserves the right to modify the list of centres based on candidate strength.
Important Rules to Know Before Applying
- Attempts limit: In compliance with a Supreme Court Suo Moto Case (No. 18/2016), candidates are limited to a maximum of three attempts, applied on an annual basis effective from CCE-2019
- Screening test qualifying criteria: Recently amended — candidates must now score at least 40% (80 marks), up from the previous 33% (66 marks) threshold
- Locked selections: Domicile, PRC-Form-D, Urban or Rural quota, Age, Qualification, Examination Centre, and Optional Subjects, once selected, cannot be changed after the closing date
- Sequential papers: If a candidate fails to appear for any one paper, they will not be permitted to appear in subsequent papers
- CNIC accuracy: Entering an incorrect CNIC number or date of birth will lead to rejection of candidature

- Applications: Only online applications are accepted — manual application forms will not be entertained
Support for Candidates with Disabilities
Candidates with permanent disabilities requiring special assistance during the examination must inform SPSC at least 7 days prior to the exam, submitting a written application along with an attested disability certificate issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh, and a special CNIC for disabled persons issued by NADRA.
